Hump Jones Everything

You know I can’t pass up answering a question as selfish as that one. Or at least, I shouldn’t. This March, we’re going to be recording and mixing a metric ton of new material. My goal is to keep making noise every week for the entire summer of 2011.  Just the same, my immune system is fighting back against the kind of reflexive self-promotion being a rapper demands. I need practice. Here’s a shameless laundry list of what to expect…

I will be dropping my first actual full length, real songs, take-me-seriously ALBUM, the name of which is Pure Fucking Love. It’s being executive produced by the legendary Charles Blingus, he’s got the final word on when that album is really ready. It will be months from this glorious day, but it will be major. I am staking the brand on this one and there’s no label to hold me back...SUCKERS!!!!

Louis Mackey | Destroyer of All Things

Louis Mackey made a lot of noise last year off his instrumental work, but you should hear what he’s been doing to microphones lately. We’ve got an album coming called No Humans Allowed and the cuts are just ferocious. It’s an extended diss track to the entire human race. Suggested Usage: Introducing Underage Christians to Salvia Bong Rips.

Breakup Music | Fake Tracklist

Next up is Breakup Music, a big complicated concept album entirely produced by Dr. Quandary. First up, if you don’t already have Beyond All Spheres of Force and Matter, fix that. (Email me if you’re a blogger, or broke.) We’re going Big Cinema on this one. Suggested Usage: this is Filet Mignon material, rich red wine overtones and a strong opiate finish.

I’ve also got a project in the works with Signifire, who’s from...well, basically the entire East Coast.  This is going to be a slow roasted, full course meal so don’t expect a release date anytime soon. We’ll keep leaking cuts, though. Suggested Usage: shameless benders, cheap beer, bad company, great parties, world tour.

First Week Was Good

Big Thanks to everyone who gave me some coverage this week: Whut Up Doe, Big Green Beats, Rock the Dub, Dee Rok, Donuts and Milk, Back to Pluto, Rap Genius, Eastside Morales, the folks at Raw Drive, Hip Hop Rec, Think Four Yourself, and especially Big Thanks to the kind writers at Monsters & Titans.

We got a serious biz posse cut to drop this week...stay tooned.
